In the polls below, we’re selecting the best limb lengthening doctors from different countries around the world based on your votes. Each poll includes the most prominent surgeons from that region. You can vote for the doctor you believe is the best, based on your own experience, research, or observations.

Each member has only one vote per country poll. The voting period lasts for one month. The listed doctors were selected based on general feedback across the internet and forums. No new doctor suggestions will be accepted for this poll, but you are welcome to share your thoughts in the comments.

In the lists, the clinics or companies are mentioned before the doctors’ names. This is because payments for limb lengthening surgeries are usually handled by the clinics, and these institutions play a direct role in managing the post-surgery process. Therefore, when voting, it is recommended to consider not only the doctor but also the overall service quality of the associated clinic.

    🇺🇸 USA

Paley Orthopedic - Dr. Dror Paley
    41%

    HSS - Dr. Robert Rozbruch
    19%

LimbplastX Inst. - Dr. Kevin Debiparshad
    22%

    HLI - Dr. Shahab Mahboubian
    19%

The United States offers some of the most advanced medical infrastructure and experienced teams in the world for limb lengthening surgery. Internal (implant-based) lengthening systems are especially preferred for both aesthetic and orthopedic procedures. However, these high-tech and prestigious clinics come with significant costs—surgery prices in the U.S. typically range from $85,000 to $150,000. Therefore, the country is mostly preferred by patients with a high budget.

    🇹🇷 Turkey

Live Life Taller - Dr. Halil Buldu
    17%

Metin Kukkaya Clinic - Dr. Metin Kucukkaya
    26%

Become Taller Clinic - Dr. Ibrahim Cimen
    53%

Esencan Hospital - Dr. Yuksel Yurttas
    4%

In recent years, Turkey has become one of the most preferred destinations for international patients thanks to its affordable yet high-quality healthcare services. Clinics based in Istanbul offer modern technological solutions for both cosmetic and orthopedic cases. With methods like LON, Precice, and external fixators, Turkey serves a wide range of patient needs. Surgery packages usually range between $25,000 and $60,000, making Turkey one of the most competitive countries in terms of price/performance.

    🇪🇺 Europe

(Germany) Betz Inst. - Dr. Augustin Betz
    32%

(Germany) ZEM - Dr. Rainer Baumgart
    13%

(Spain) Downey Inst. - Dr. Javier Downey
    23%

(Italy) Guichet Inst. - Dr. Jean-Marc Guichet
    13%

(Greece) Athens Bone C. - Dr. Dimitrios Giotikas
    19%

European countries hold a strong position in limb lengthening surgery thanks to their technological diversity and adaptability. Germany stands out with its advanced engineering-based implant systems, while Spain and Greece offer more affordable and accessible solutions. In Italy and the UK, some clinics use their own specially developed implant systems. Surgery costs typically range from €65,000 to €100,000 in countries like Germany and the UK, and €35,000 to €70,000 in Spain and Greece. Europe offers balanced options for various budgets and needs.

    🌍 Others

(Russia) Ilizarov Center - Dr. Alexander Gubin
    38%

(South Korea) DALRI - Dr. Donghoon Lee
    63%

Russia, the historical origin of limb lengthening methods, continues to use modernized versions of traditional external fixator techniques. These are especially prominent in correcting orthopedic deformities and generally cost around $40,000 to $90,000. South Korea, on the other hand, is known for its high-tech implant systems, detailed patient monitoring, and aesthetics-focused approach. Procedures there usually range from $45,000 to $90,000, making the country a popular destination for patients seeking low complication rates and advanced infrastructure in cosmetic limb lengthening.

I don’t get the hype around Paley. Yes, he’s skilled, but the clinic operates like a business first. If you’re rich, fine, but it’s not for everyone for sure.

The poll really shows that each country has its own unique “style” of doing things. USA = tech + price. Turkey = affordability + solid work. Europe = variety. Korea = precision and aesthetics. Don’t choose just based on the name, choose based on your goals. The surgery and service you get are basically the same everywhere.

I’ve been into limb lengthening for 3 years and I’ve had the surgery myself, but I still don’t get how the exact same procedure can be sold at such different prices. How can there be a $50,000 difference between two countries? Blows my mind. That’s why I support many developing countries. They make you feel like a god for what you pay.

Still can’t believe people pay over $100k for this. I’m not judging, just trying to understand if it’s really worth it.

Anyone else curious about the differences between Guichet nails and Precice? I’ve been reading up on both. Guichet seems more customizable.

Last year, I underwent quadrilateral surgery at Become Taller Clinic with Dr Cimen. My intended goal was 12cm, and I achieved precisely that. At the time, the clinic operated with multiple surgeons, however, I was assigned to Dr Cimen. During that period, I toured several facilities across Turkey, though none offered a sense of security, and a number of them even quoted higher prices. Presently, I notice they’ve placed Dr Cimen as their primary listing and seem to collaborate exclusively with him, which appears to be a favorable development.

People overthink the doctor names too much. Just make sure they’re experienced and the clinic doesn’t treat you like a number. That’s what matters.

Why is no one talking about India or Iran?? There are surgeons there too and prices are really cheap. Maybe next poll should include them x

I still can’t believe LLT is even listed as an option.

On Reddit, they ban anyone who mentions live life laller. Do not go there.

That’s a very insightful experience you’ve shared. It’s encouraging to hear you achieved your intended 12cm goal successfully with Dr. Cimen at Become Taller Clinic. Touring multiple facilities beforehand clearly gave you perspective, and it seems reassuring that the clinic now collaborates exclusively with Dr. Cimen. Your detailed account adds valuable guidance for others considering similar surgery.
