$80,000 for the hospital???
Is that for merely 4-5 days post-surgery or throughout the entire limb lengthening process? Also, what does “he would most likely cover complications” imply? Is it guaranteed? What’s the hidden agenda?

Handy,This is precisely the timeframe that he mentioned for limb lengthening with the PRECICE 6.5 cm on the femurs. Two months of lengthening, followed by three months of consolidation. It isn’t advisable to weight-bear during the consolidation phase due to the high risk of breaking or bending the nail (which can only withstand 30 lbs per leg) or fracturing your bone. Clearly, this is very situational and hinges on the strength of your consolidation. He was exercising caution – and rightly so. Dr. Rozbruch does not currently provide the PRECICE 2 but mentioned he may receive it in a few months. However, who would want to risk weight-bearing on something that can only support 75 lbs per leg? Are you planning to bring a weight scale and monitor your footsteps?
short_and_depressed,
Indeed, US hospitals are awful. Look at the outrageous amount I had to shell out for just one single x-ray! It’s even an extra fee if I want to obtain a copy of my own x-ray that I underwent

Utilized him for the removal of the rod.Although he was operating within his outlined protocol, my left femur broke completely in two. Initially, he appeared quite skilled, professional, and focused, but this was a major mistake that led to significant pain, costs, and wasted time.

I have a question. Is it necessary to take out the rods within a year? I’ve been researching this, and it appears that it is advised to do so a year post-surgery. Just wondering.00 -

Nail extraction costs $5000 for each nail, totaling $10,000 – in addition to hospital charges if your insurance does not include it.00 -
