I just hung up the phone with the surgeon booker today, and I am officially calling to schedule my surgery for tomorrow. I had a consultation with Dr. Paley about 8 years back, but I was too young and nervous to go ahead with it.

    Background
    Age: Late 20’s
    Current Height: 162cm (5’4)
    Goal Height: 170cm (5’7)

    Reasons for undergoing limb lengthening
Truthfully, I have always desired to be taller since I was young. I must confess that I prioritize looks and finding a female partner, and I believe that at this height, I don’t stand a real chance with the type of women I am attracted to. Despite being outgoing, my attempts to ask girls out have had little success. I have other positive qualities like financial stability and a decent face, so I see this procedure as a crucial missing piece. I feel confident in most aspects of my life except for this particular aspect. Additionally, I plan to start working out because I have always felt self-conscious trying to be a muscular guy at 5’4 as I thought it looked odd proportionally.

Another reason for undergoing the procedure is that I no longer value my athleticism. A few years ago, I tore my ACL and meniscus, and I believe I will always be around 95% of what I used to be athletically. I am willing to sacrifice another 5% of my athleticism. Moreover, having undergone over a year and a half of combined physical therapy has prepared me well for the challenges of this journey.

    Current emotions and thoughts
To be honest, I am very apprehensive about the surgery, but I feel like I have no alternative. I am not looking forward to it, but I am aware that once it’s all over, I will be glad I went through with it. I am unsure what is causing my nervousness. I am confident that the surgery will be successful because Paley is the best, and I should be able to avoid complications due to this fact. Perhaps my anxiety stems from the idea of permanently altering my body or potentially not being satisfied with my proportions. I have a short torso and the same sitting height as individuals who are around 5 feet tall. However, I don’t think people will really notice these proportions, and if I am taller when standing, I will have to accept having a short sitting height during dates.

Good luck buddy, you opted for the ruler of limb lengthening. You’ll be pleasantly surprised. We anticipate your chronicle. Our heights were similar when we began. I also felt compelled to do it, unlike some taller guys at 5’10” or 6′ who just discovered LL recently and think it’s cool to be the tallest. When you’re 5’5″ or shorter, it’s been a constant thought for years, not just a passing one in your mind…So, I understand where you’re coming from! Wishing you all the best. I suggest trying out “Fresh Element” for Thai, Asian fusion cuisine while you’re there. By the way, the hotel adjacent to the Hilton has a hot tub, and they don’t verify if you’re a guest. Please feed the stray cats in the parking lot if you end up staying at the Hilton.

Wishing you the best of luck!

Are you concerned about the absence of weight-bearing with the Precise Nail? Additionally, do you intend to continue working while undergoing this procedure? I have a remote job and am curious if you are in a similar situation. Feel free to message me if that feels more comfortable.

Technically, I’m under 150 pounds so I could be weight bearing I believe but obviously won’t be. Hoping they allow me to use crutches though more often. I am planning on doing a lot of zoom meetings during the time. I will take pain meds if needed. My job is basically hybrid but I can take the time off if I want.
