Here’s the updated response and information from the Beijing Institute of External Fixation Technology, led by Dr. Xia Hetao (Director) & Dr. Roger Li (Honorary Consultant Surgeon).Note: please see our disclaimer regarding The Doctors Directory
As of 1 November 2024, the package price is revised to 25,000 Euros for 5-8 cm lengthening and a 4-month hospital stay (full boarding), with extra costs set at 1500 Euros per additional cm. A deposit of 5,000 Euros is required initially to secure a place and a surgery. The total cost of our service package at 25,000 Euros includes a (up to) 5-8 cm limb lengthening on both tibiae or femurs, covering all first two surgeries (the first is to place the external frame and nails, while the second is for external frame removal), treatments, and hospitalization for the entire treatment duration (up to 4 months, shared by two patients), high-speed internet, a new wheelchair, all medications and walking aids, in addition to regular meals (restaurant meals at an extra cost). If any complications arise during the procedure while you are hospitalized, we assure you of free treatment until the issue is fully resolved.
If you wish to extend beyond 8 cm and require additional time after the 4-month period, a rate of 1,500 Euros per cm will be applicable. English translators are available for international patients, and currently, many patients from the US, Canada, Japan, Denmark, India, etc. are receiving treatment at our hospital. In cases where both tibiae and femurs lengthening is desired, two distinct procedures will be necessary, with a waiting period of at least 1 year in between to ensure proper functional recovery of the limbs. The fee will effectively double as separate package payments will be required.
How to proceed with payment:
The package fee (for example, 25,000 Euros) must be settled in two payments. First, you need to pay a 5,000 Euros deposit to reserve a spot; then upon your arrival in Beijing, you are required to pay the remaining 20,000 Euros upon admission. Payments can be made in cash, traveler’s checks, or via
