    Hello there everyone
I’m aware of my belated participation, but I underwent limb lengthening in India. Tibial Lengthening Over Nail (LON) was performed, resulting in a gain of 6.5 cms in height.
Roughly a month ago, my frames were removed, but I developed severe equinus in my left foot, leading to Achilles tendon surgery. Subsequently, I began experiencing intense nerve pain characterized by burning, pins and needles, and sensations akin to electric shocks. To manage this, my physician prescribed Pregabalin, which I take cautiously once daily to avoid dependency. Despite this, the nerve pain was distressing, prompting nerve decompression surgery. While the electric shock sensation subsided post-surgery, I continue to grapple with complete numbness in the sole of my foot and persistent pins and needles. Squeezing the area with my hand elicits no sensation, yet I endure nerve pain.
I eagerly anticipate a full recovery! Presently, I am using a walker for walking, finding it manageable. I am curious if others have encountered similar challenges and, if so, when can I expect these symptoms to dissipate entirely? It has been approximately 5 weeks since my decompression surgery.
    Your support is truly valued!

I wish you a speedy recovery.

Currently, I am undergoing bilateral femoral limb lengthening procedures and have experienced nerve pain in my right shin at approximately 2-3 cm. However, at 4.5 cm, the discomfort has disappeared. On the other hand, I am now encountering some nerve pain in my left shin when I stretch my left hip flexors.

I am considering undergoing precise tibial limb lengthening procedures to achieve an additional 2.2 cm. Do you recommend sticking to a lengthening range of 4-5 cm? I tend to feel anxious when I come across posts discussing similar experiences.

I have the same wish for you, hoping for your speedy recovery.

I am experiencing similar symptoms to yours, although the phase of electric shock has diminished some time ago.
I am nearing 6cm femur with gnail, and my right leg is now in constant pain, like 100% of the time. I feel a burning sensation, skin hypersensitivity, and pins and needles.

What really helps is pausing the limb lengthening for a few days.

This is what I did when I reached 4cm and 5cm as well.

In your situation, since you have finished the limb lengthening, things should return to normal soon (or at least this is what I continue to come across).

Best of luck, and please keep us updated if you discover a solution to your issue.

I experienced numbness in my left shin and electric shocks down my leg. It took about a year
for the symptoms to mostly disappear after I ceased limb lengthening. I still have a slight amount of numbness. The neurologist recommended mentanx to aid nerve regeneration, and Dr. Robbins prescribed gabapentin. I no longer use either medication and no longer experience the electric shocks. This situation was frightening and is frequently seen in individuals undergoing limb lengthening procedures.

I don’t understand why people are going over 5 cm in Tibias. It’s a well known fact (rozbruch and paley) will not go over 5cm because of this
