    Hi,

I have been a registered member of this forum since 2019 and I am considering increasing my height, just like everyone else. I have been studying limb lengthening for 8-9 years.

    Existing Height: 158
    Wingspan: 160
    Current Age: 42
    Weight: 72 kg
    Objective: Increase by 7-8 cm

    I am a non-smoker.

To begin with, my initial post will be quite lengthy because limb lengthening surgery differs from procedures like rhinoplasty. It is a highly challenging, significant, and critical plastic surgery that impacts an individual’s lifelong well-being.

I reside in Turkey and have personally consulted numerous doctors in Istanbul and undergone evaluations.
Individuals researching height enhancement extensively possess substantial technical knowledge, encompassing aspects such as pain between the femur and tibia, bone fusion duration, femur-tibia ratio, scars, and more.

Turkey boasts numerous specialists in height augmentation. Some doctors I encountered in Istanbul exhibited amusing behavior.

For instance, certain doctors claimed they could extend limbs by 8 cm solely through the tibia without conducting any X-rays.

However, I am aware that pursuing an 8 cm increase from the tibia poses significant health risks. They discuss this without even considering my femur-tibia ratio.

Regrettably, akin to many industries, financial gain often supersedes considerations for human well-being among individuals. Some even fabricate testimonials to promote doctors on this platform.

Due to such conduct by doctors, I harbored apprehensions regarding the surgery and postponed it, allowing years to elapse while nurturing the aspiration of becoming taller.

Subsequently, I encountered Gürkan on this forum. He possesses extensive knowledge of height augmentation and offered valuable assistance.
Gürkan has yet to undergo surgery himself. Subsequently, he underwent the procedure conducted by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Uysal.

Upon researching this physician, I noted from his resume that he underwent training in height enhancement and orthopedics across various nations. Additionally, he collaborated with Paley in the United States in 2012.

I viewed television appearances featuring him on YouTube.

When Turkey is mentioned, Istanbul predominantly monopolizes attention, with many foreigners unaware of other Turkish cities. Notably, Ankara and Izmir host prominent hospitals and medical practitioners.

Moreover, Istanbul is the primary city associated with Turkey, overshadowing the recognition of other urban centers.

Is Professor Dr. Mustafa Uysal also one of the doctors who work with AFA?
      Best wishes.

      Thank you.

As far as I know, I am not aware.

It is inappropriate for individuals who have not undergone limb lengthening surgery to offer advice or discuss the procedure.
Gürkan has already gained significant recognition in our nation due to this surgery, so it was not an issue.
Everything is more effortless for me.

For inquiries regarding Dr. Uysal or other limb lengthening concerns, you can reach out to Gürkan.

I commenced documenting my experiences in the journal belatedly.  I will incorporate videos and images.

      Post-surgery:
Upon awakening, the nurses escorted me to my room. Wrapped in a duvet, I felt an extreme chill akin to the North Pole, causing my teeth to chatter.
Experiencing minimal pain levels of 2/10 occasionally escalating to 3-4, my main discomfort was the cold surrounding me.
While I could wiggle my toes, lifting them proved challenging due to the weight of the fixator on my legs. To my surprise, the surgery only lasted 4 hours, contrary to the typical 6-8 hours for LL procedures, attributed to the straightforward installation of the LON nail thanks to the good bone formation.
The doctor advised me to use the pain pump device for significant pain relief, which administers constant small doses of painkillers. However, I found the pain manageable without needing to press the button, only feeling a slight dizziness from the medication.

      Day 1:
Starting the day with breakfast, my pain level remained constant at 2/10, with occasional heightened discomfort in my left leg. The doctor was pleased with my progress, noting improvement compared to the first day after the surgery.
I was provided with a walker to aid my mobility, allowing me to walk and even visit the bathroom with assistance. Medications such as a pain reliever serum, antibiotic serum, Vitamin D drops, and an iron pill were administered to me.
As night fell, I struggled to sleep on my back due to the fixator restricting my movement, a reminder of the challenging journey ahead. Despite the difficulties, I remained determined not to let the process affect my spirits, understanding the resilience required to achieve my aspirations.

It was challenging to sleep, given my habitual side-sleeping position, but I persevered with the knowledge that overcoming obstacles is essential in pursuing our dreams.

      Day 2:

It’s remarkable that I still feel relatively little pain. The discomfort in my left limb is more intense compared to the right one, with a pain level of 2 out of 10 for the left limb and 1 out of 10 for the right limb. Since I predominantly rely on my right limb in daily activities, I speculate that the weakness and increased pain in my left limb may be attributed to this factor.

During a trip to the bathroom, I utilized a walker for support. (Urination was successful); however, I have not had a bowel movement yet.

The medications administered today remain consistent with those from yesterday: paracetamol serum, serum antibiotic, vitamin D drops, and an iron pill.

My physician visited me briefly to assess my well-being and promptly departed. I spent some time watching television.

      Day 3:
The level of pain persists without significant changes. The discomfort in my left limb remains at 2 out of 10, while the pain in my right limb is at a tolerable level of 1 out of 10.

The left limb exhibits persistent pain, contrasting with the absence of pain in the right limb; discomfort in the right limb only arises during strenuous movements.

The doctor conducted a routine check-up, inquired about my condition, and then left.

      Day 4:
The pain I am experiencing has not altered much; it remains minimal.

A nurse commended my high level of activity today, stating that my mobility surpassed that of most individuals who have undergone similar limb lengthening procedures over an extended period. I expressed confusion regarding this comment, to which she replied, “No patient has ever been as mobile as you after such surgery.” Although uncertain, this seems to be my current status.

Today marks a significant event as I resolved to have a bowel movement in the toilet, despite my initial apprehension.

I successfully used the restroom, supported by iron bars on either side of the toilet seat. This was a positive experience.

After completing my bowel movement, the appearance of my stool, dark like coal, alarmed me. Despite this, upon consulting my doctor, he assured me that this discoloration was a normal side effect of one of the prescribed iron pills.

Today, I successfully resolved a noteworthy issue.

      Days 5-6:
These days have transpired similarly to the preceding ones, encompassing the routine of meals and television entertainment. The repetition of daily activities has become slightly bothersome.

      I receive my doctor’s customary daily check-up.
