I have conducted cross-limb lengthening surgeries with the goal of lengthening by 11 cm in total as suggested by Dr Mirzoyan’s team.

Yet, on the fifth day after my second surgery on 30 Oct 2023, I found I could not move my left foot and my left toes and actually I had not tried to move them since my second surgery. After having the EMG exam around two weeks later, I was told that the curve of my left peroneus nerve and tibial nerve could not be detected. I was kept assuring the function of my left foot could be recovered and they also told me there was no nerve damage (subsequently they switched to no mechanical damage on my nerve). They had also changed the cause of the dis-functioning of my nerve and my left foot several times (they first told me this was due to tension under my femur / over-sketching, and then alleged it was the complication caused by the general anesthesia….).

After I went back my home country and having the EMG exam and ultrasound exam in May 2024, I was told by the doctor in my country that I was suffering from complete damage of my left tibial nerve and severe damage of my left peroneus nerve, as well as de-generation of the left bottom part of my sciatic nerve starting at the level of my butt. Deep vein thrombosis was also found at my left leg. They considered my situation was very serious and wonder why I would be allowed to come back in such a situation. Also, they considered the serious nerve damages I suffered was unable to be recovered to normal and the doctors in Armenia had only helped me to recover very little. The nerve damages I suffered was equivalent to cutting my nerves (losing all mobility function of the nerves). Until now, I am still losing most of the sensation and all mobility of my left foot. With the serious damage of my left tibial nerve and left peroneus nerve, I am also suffering from serious muscle atrophy at my left tibia. These had made my rehabilitation extremely difficult, and I also need to live my lives now with a drop foot.

As such, I sincerely warn all others not to go to Armenia / Yerevan to have limb lengthening by Dr Mirzoyan’s team as there is a high risk of ending up with disability. Please do not believe in any promises / claims / assertions made by them. They are only a group of people with unbelievably low integrity and they only want to earn money from your pocket while they do not have adequate competence to ensure the result or handle the significant complications of the surgeries.
