I am currently residing in Germany for a visit to Betz’s, and a question popped up in my mind: What is the rationale behind high taxes?
I haven’t studied Economics, but here are my perspectives:
1. They can help in leveling the economic disparities among individuals. Having huge economic gaps is potentially worse than everyone being poor.
2. They can help in curbing price inflation. (I reached this conclusion through comparisons between Europe/USA and China, considering I have heard that China is currently facing a significant increase in prices there)
3. They can significantly reduce the various expenses in case of accidents.
Just my two cents. Feel free to correct me if I am mistaken.
