The diversity in human body proportions is truly remarkable. What may not seem “typical” to you is actually quite common.
It is a fact that many men of shorter stature (under 5’7″) tend to have disproportionately short legs.
Here are my measurements: My sitting height corresponds to about 54% of my standing height, a figure that is 2.5 standard deviations away from the mean (around 49.5%).
By adding 5 inches, I reach 50.5%, which falls comfortably within 1 standard deviation.
As for my wingspan, it is 175, making it slightly shorter now after previously being slightly longer than my height.
How could one argue that I appear less “typical” post-limb lengthening? If anything, I resemble a more average physique; however, height remains the noticeable factor, not the alterations to my proportions.
