However, I learned about limb lengthening surgeries a few years ago when my grandfather was admitted to Fortis Hospital Gurugram for his knee replacement surgery. While we were there for 4-5 days, I met a physiotherapist who visited my grandfather twice a day to guide him through exercises. This physiotherapist was very kind and polite. He confirmed that increasing height through Ilizarov surgery was achievable and that any experienced orthopedic surgeon could perform the procedure. Despite the initial hesitations from my family due to the expense and duration of the treatment, I eventually convinced them over the years. Now, at 27 years old with a height of 160 cm, I have made the decision to undergo LL surgery in the upcoming days.
