I experienced numbness in my left shin and electric shocks down my leg. It took about a year
for the symptoms to mostly disappear after I ceased limb lengthening. I still have a slight amount of numbness. The neurologist recommended mentanx to aid nerve regeneration, and Dr. Robbins prescribed gabapentin. I no longer use either medication and no longer experience the electric shocks. This situation was frightening and is frequently seen in individuals undergoing limb lengthening procedures.
