In an interview with Birkholtz, he discusses Paley, the most experienced surgeon globally, who believes that stretching before surgery barely offers any benefits. Nonetheless, most other surgeons suggest doing pre-surgery stretches as it is expected to provide a considerable advantage. What are your thoughts on this matter?
Moreover, how long before the surgery should stretching be done to optimize the benefits?

I did not engage in any stretching activities, yet I was already remarkably flexible. I could place my hands flat on the ground while bending down with my knees together, among other things. After 5.5 months post-operation, I have regained approximately 90-95% of my previous range of motion and flexibility. I am experiencing no pain. Achieving this level required a significant amount of ongoing physical therapy.

Hello, I have pondered these queries as well and conducted extensive research. I have been consistently stretching three days a week since January of the previous year, occasionally even on Saturdays. I have noticeably increased my flexibility compared to past years, and I firmly believe that flexibility is crucial in limb lengthening, particularly if you are considering LON or Betzbone femurs.00 -

i personally experienced excellent outcomes with stretching beforehand. This not only assisted me in enhancing my baseline flexibility but also contributed to establishing the daily routine of stretching every day.00 -

It is beneficial, but its effectiveness is limited. The crucial aspect is stretching while undergoing limb lengthening.00 -

I’ve been stretching for approximately 30 days, and my health plan even arranged for me to see a physiotherapist 3x a week. Still, I must admit that I haven’t seen significant improvement. My surgery is scheduled in 15 days. Stretching is incredibly challenging!00
