The reason I am hesitating about Betz-Becker and not being completely certain is due to the IT band. In some accounts, I have even come across instances where individuals who underwent LL with Betz later consulted another doctor and were informed that the IT band had been released, which was not entirely accurate. So, what is the situation? I am aware that Betz does not perform that procedure, but does Becker execute it effectively? With Betz, you begin walking sooner, but encounter IT band issues after 7 cm. In Greece, walking is delayed, but the long-term recovery is superior. I am just unsure and need to make a decision promptly, and that is crucial… Any thoughts on this?00

Every reputable surgeon who performs limb lengthening except Becker conducts ITB release. This is certainly a cause for concern. If you choose Becker, you should visit another LL surgeon to have the ITB release procedure done separately.00 -

Is ITB the primary concern for all individuals?Notwithstanding being a hair transplant surgeon, his resume is filled with credentials in plastic surgery, hair transplant surgery, radiology, etc? How was he selected as Dr. Betz’s successor? Germany is renowned for producing exceptional doctors, especially in the field of limb lengthening (LL). For instance, LMU is highly respected for its orthopedic department. Why didn’t anyone else step up to continue the legacy?
You mostly witness successful cases, but have there been any instances of complications? How were such complications managed?
I am surprised that there seems to be insufficient concern about this.

There are additional warning signs apart from limb lengthening, such as:– BetzBone is a lesser quality nail compared to Precice
– Frequently permits patients to extend lengths that pose risks, such as 10 or 12 cm
– He does not possess expertise as an orthopedic surgeon; he is labeled as a “cosmetic surgeon” who previously specialized in hair transplants before being mentored by Betz
– He has faced legal action in the past for medical negligence (attributed to the Betz institute). It is uncertain if he is truly at fault, but it raises concerns.00 -

Why don’t you consider having an online consultation with Dr. Becker?
From my understanding, they are currently performing ITB release procedures, and patients can inquire about it.00 -

It’s not a genuine ITB release. He refers to it as a “soft” ITB release or something similar. All other respected surgeons do not follow this method, and they concur that a “soft” release cannot replace the actual procedure.00 -

If a limb lengthening surgeon fails to provide a release, he is deemed untrustworthy. You personally penned this down.
It is outright foolish to select a physician for limb lengthening and then seek another one to perform tasks that the initial doctor should have completed.
Therefore, Becker is not a wise option for limb lengthening, particularly given the substantial fee he demands.00 -

Not certain about past occurrences. Personally, I underwent a soft ITB release procedure and achieved my desired outcome successfully.00 -

You have lordosis and wide legs. You have not achieved your goal “just fine.” Typically, individuals do not acquire those conditions with a genuine iliotibial band (ITB) release.I am not suggesting that you will not eventually be in good shape with an adequate amount of time and additional physical therapy. However, you have not reached that point as of now.
