I know that I am taller than many here, yet I share the same issue: dissatisfaction with my height. I was also unhappy with my face and transformed it through bimaxillar surgery; now I appear more or less as I desire, and I am quite pleased with that. However, the height issue still persists.
In theory, I should be average, but I often feel a bit shorter than others. I would only like to gain 4/5 cm, nothing more! Just to reach the average/tall end.
Do you think I am out of my mind for wanting this? I frequently check my height when I’m out and compare it with other guys my age; most of the time, I feel they are slightly taller than me.
I cannot afford the expense for this right away, but once I have enough money, it will be one of the first things on my agenda. I am generally fit and healthy, so I believe I won’t face complications.
I also have a long and big chest paired with short legs, making me an ideal candidate for this surgery! Whenever people see photos of me from the chest up, they say I appear to be around 183/5 cm tall. Perhaps this is due to my mom being short (153) and my dad being tall (181), resulting in me inheriting features from both.

Where do you originate from? At 177.5 cm, you will surpass the average male height in many nations. Are you hailing from North/Central Europe?

Do you believe I am insane for this? I often assess my height when I’m out and compare it with other guys of my age; most of the time, I feel they seem to be a bit taller than I am.

All of us pondering LL are probably a tad crazy (excluding those with dwarfism or a significant disparity). If you are certain that this is what you wish, and you are fully cognizant of how challenging it is, along with the associated risks, pursue it. However, if I were your height, I would not contemplate LL.

I don’t believe you’re insane, but I consider LL to be unnecessary for your stature.

In any case, it’s your decision. You appear quite wealthy to undergo facial surgery and desire LL even though you are tall/tallish.

I personally believe that the occurrence of you undergoing facial surgery, and now seeking to engage in limb lengthening, indicates an issue regarding self-esteem or something along those lines. Were I in your position, I would consider discussing this matter with a psychologist.

Some of the responses in this discussion resemble the kind of foolish remarks that were echoed in the previous years of this community.

No, you need far better justifications for pursuing a procedure that necessitates a career hiatus for most individuals, financial loans or years of saving, poses risks of various types of embolism, threatens complications, misalignment, infections, is likely to lead to early arthritis, will permanently affect your athletic performance, and takes years of your life to completely recover from and move past (and may very well entail additional surgeries).

177.5cm is undeniably tall. The global average male height is 170cm, and that figure is probably inflated as it depends on self-reported statistics. I’m not concerned if anyone feels short at 177.5cm because they’re from the Netherlands or somewhere. The reality is not a topic open for debate. Your personal experience is, but that can be addressed without jeopardizing this much.

You require a significantly better reason and to conduct much more thorough research if you wish to undergo CLL at heights such as these. “Feeling slightly short” does not qualify.

And with a mother as diminutive as yours, you, poster from two years ago, should feel quite fortunate not to have ended up below 175cm. Given that you never returned, I hope you have moved past this insecurity of yours and recognized your blessings.
