Hello everyone,Apologies for not providing an extensive diary; I will give occasional updates and respond to questions.
Starting height: 170-171 cm
Desired height increase: +6 cm
Surgical Method: Tibia LATN performed by Dr. Dimitrios Giotikas (initial plan was Stryde, but I had to change due to certain reasons). Reason for not choosing G-nail: Decision was made before Dr. Giotikas introduced G-nail.-1 day: Legs were shaved, but the surgery was delayed until the next day due to V21 ( ) surgery running long. Feeling too exhausted to return to the center, I opted to stay in a hotel room near the hospital for the night.
0 day: Feeling anxious and lightheaded before the surgery, but Dr. Giotikas and a team member (a fantastic surgeon as well) reassured and calmed me. They advised me to focus on the outcome rather than the procedure. Fortunately, post-surgery, I was transferred to the same ward as V21, a very friendly individual.
1 day: Attempted a few steps with a walker but felt extremely dizzy and nearly vomited. Several experienced LL patients visited our ward to greet us.
2 day: Managed to walk a bit more with a walker and a few somewhat unsuccessful steps with crutches. Pain peaked at around 6/10, typically ranging from 2-3/10 (regular intake of painkillers). Sleeping reasonably well but uncomfortable to constantly lie on the back. We were relocated to a new ward on the 4th floor with a window overlooking the sea!
3 day: Showing improvement daily. Pain is quite bearable. Successfully navigated the corridor with crutches.
4 day: Feeling very well today, even managed some work. Walked more compared to yesterday. Will be discharged home after a few more hours.Commencing physical therapy tomorrow.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the hospital. Exceptionally clean and modern facilities (Wi-Fi, TV, direct communication with nurses, air conditioning), very attentive nurses, and delicious food personally to my liking. The ward feels more like a hotel room than a typical hospital room. Rated 10/10.
P.S. A piece of advice: Obtain REALLY oversized (XXL or larger if possible) shorts for the frames. Thankfully, the hospital provided me with one-time use maximum size shorts; otherwise, I would have been naked. None of my clothing fits over these frames.

If I might inquire, which pain relievers are you utilizing?00 -

Every few hours, they administer liquid Paracetamol to me via a catheter. Additionally, I have received injections of certain pain relievers without inquiring about their names.00 -

For what duration?00 -

Thank you for the information. I was interested in understanding the duration for which this is recommended for external devices. It appears that each physician follows their own set of guidelines.00 -

I am in the process of lengthening, had my surgery 4 weeks ago by Dr. Goitikas in Athens. The first 3 weeks during the inflamation stage were a little tough, but this past week has been a breeze. Physio is a little challenging, and it’s not fun to perform the stretching exercises daily at home, but this is a small price to pay. I thought this experience would drag on, but the days are flying by. The food in Greece is amazing, the people are great and Dr. G with his team are really amazing. I am already 1.5 inches taller, and I aim to reach about 3.5 inches when I’m done. Super exciting!!!! Really glad I chose Dr. G.10 -

I think he’s an overrated doctor. Definitely not on the same level as those in US.00
