I shifted to sleeping on my side 2 nights ago and a loud popping sound occurred in my femur, which caused soreness and slight pain throughout the day. Walking and limb lengthening are unaffected, but occasionally twisting my right leg results in a smaller popping sound with less pain. The leg is generally sore, specifically where the osteotomy was performed. I suspect a potential callus fracture where the bone is forming, despite the doctor’s assistant attributing it to the IT band, which I disagree with due to the pain location within the leg.

You’re fine, dude, your joints will sound really loud as you begin to notice the new bone growth.

Saw your posts regarding nerve pains in tibia. At what point did they start for you? I’ve been experiencing severe pain in my right leg since around 30mm, almost like it happened overnight. Despite taking a lot of gaba, the pain persists, and now I’m at about 40mm. I can’t see the end of it; I really hope I can make it through the next 40mm. I’ve asked the doctor to increase the gaba dosage though. It mainly bothers me when I’m sitting still or lying in bed trying to sleep. The pain gradually intensifies into a sharp/burning sensation around the shin. It’s hard to sleep like that; bending my knees provides some relief, and I can usually fall asleep that way, but my sleep is quite disrupted.

My experience began with around 20-25mm. Throughout the process, my tibias and feet experienced significant swelling. Despite taking gabapentin, the pain relief was minimal, making it barely bearable. Combining the nerve pain from limb lengthening with three months of constant vomiting made my LL journey quite challenging. My advice to you is to approach it one millimeter at a time, day by day. The transformation in your height will leave you astonished. Although it may feel like there’s no end in sight, remember you’re one-third of the way through. I often tell my friends and family that I’m not sure if any amount of money could make me go through that again.

Having a comfortable leg pillow, especially one for placing between your knees or elevating your legs if you sleep on your back, can be beneficial.

Yeah, this is awful. I believe GABA is finally working for me, it just requires 2 weeks, and I’m using it 4 times a day. Nevertheless, I still experience nerve pains. Presently, my IT band is making a popping sound when I walk. I suspect something might have gone wrong there because when attempting IT band stretches, I can’t sense any tension anymore. I’ll allow it to rest, and hopefully, everything will be back to normal in 2-4 weeks. It seems like problems come and go.

I concur, I will never engage in this again, more dreadful than going through a nightmare. However, I know that in 8 months, I’ll embrace my new life.

However, you firmly believe that men who are 5’9 should certainly undergo this procedure. Do you not perceive the inconsistency?

Is your proficiency in English satisfactory? I will never engage in it again, never stated I regret it. I am 5’9 initially. Where is the inconsistency?
