A Straightforward Approach to Assess Your Q-Angle at Home
What You Will Require
• A pen or marker
• A mirror
• A smartphone equipped with an angle-measuring application
Steps
1. Marking Key Points: Determine and mark the Anterior Superior Iliac Spine (ASIS), the midpoint of your patella (kneecap), and the tibial tuberosity, located just beneath your kneecap.
2. Capturing a Photograph: Position yourself in front of a mirror and take a picture. Ensure that the camera is aligned with your body for the most precise depiction.
3. Calculating the Angle: Utilize the angle-measuring app on your smartphone to analyze the photo. Draw lines connecting the ASIS to the center of the patella and the midpoint of the patella to the tibial tuberosity. The point at which these lines meet indicates your Q-Angle.
