Hello everyone. Prior to opting for limb lengthening, I spent a significant amount of time reading this forum and the experiences shared by people. It was highly beneficial in preparing myself for the surgery, and I hope to offer the same support to others.
Providing some background information about myself, I am approximately 5’5 and 21 years old. Height neurosis has been a significant issue for me, especially during my teenage years, with the past year being particularly challenging. Constantly measuring my height, checking spinal compression, and comparing my height to others became an obsession. I am aiming to increase my height by 2 or possibly 2.5 inches, which would bring me to 5’7.5 and I plan to round it up to 5’8. While this height may still seem short to some, my primary goal is to alleviate the mental burden I have been carrying.
Additional background information reveals that I have been struggling with anxiety and depression due to a difficult upbringing. I faced bullying from both male and female classmates throughout high school. My motivation for undergoing this surgery is not to attract the opposite gender, as I previously wore 2-inch lifts without success in my romantic endeavors. My main objective is to live free from the mental anguish I have endured.
I selected Dr. Halil based on the various diaries available about him, which presented mixed reviews. Limited by a budget of no more than $30k, I opted for LON femurs. Drawing strength from my resilient mindset and high pain tolerance developed from a challenging childhood, I am hopeful that the monorails will not be too psychologically demanding.
Although I used to be quite athletic in high school, wearing lifts has compromised my athletic prowess. At this point, I am not overly concerned about sacrificing some athleticism for a 2-inch height increase.
Having never traveled by plane or left my home country before coming to Turkey, I was desperate to undergo this procedure.
The transformation of Sedat, the manager of LiveLifeTaller, growing 20cm from 157 to 177, deeply inspired me. While I aim for more modest height gains, his journey resonated with me on a personal level.
During my flight to Turkey, I misplaced my glasses and feared having to undergo surgery with impaired vision. Fortunately, after explaining my situation to Sedat, he arranged for a kind driver to take me to the market and assist me in finding new glasses, all before any payment was made.
This post is becoming lengthy, so I will continue discussing my actual surgery in the following post haha.00

I was supposed to undergo the surgery the following day upon arrival, but due to my anxiety, I had to postpone it for another 2 days. Staying at the Titanic Hotel, I found the staff to be very friendly. On the first night, my card didn’t work, yet they allowed me to stay overnight without payment, as foreign cards seem to have issues here. The night before the limb lengthening surgery, I felt overwhelmed, spending hours watching motivational videos to boost my mental strength. Reading accounts of how brutal and regretful some people found the surgery added to my anxiety. When the day of the surgery arrived, I was brought to the hospital, where I had an IV needle inserted, leading to a panic attack—something common for me when under stress. The experience in the operating room is mostly a blur after that. Waking up, a nurse instructed me not to move. I experienced a brief episode of shivering, which wasn’t as intense as others had described. Perhaps those cold showers I took beforehand helped with that. Surprisingly, the pain level was only around 1-2 out of 10, much lower than expected post-surgery. The initial moments after waking up were fuzzy due to the lingering effects of the anesthesia. One challenging aspect was having a sore throat before the surgery, and now I can hardly speak. I can only perform simple ankle movements, with the goal of working on bending my knees throughout the day. After an hour, the pain level decreased to a 1 out of 10, but the restriction in leg movements was bothersome. I plan to provide updates as these detailed diaries have been a source of comfort; I hope to offer support to others going through a similar experience. Additionally, the hospital environment is excellent, with LiveLifeTaller even furnishing their internet modem to ensure patients have reliable internet connectivity.01 -

Ok folks, a quick update. I’ve been watching YouTube and doing some stretching for the past few hours. I experience 1/10 pain while stationary and only feel tightness during stretching. I’m a bit hesitant to eat because I fear the discomfort of having a bowel movement, which I’ve heard can be extremely painful. I’ve included a measurement of my knee bending angle and some workout routines. I plan to continue stretching throughout the night so I’ll be prepared for my first walk with the doctor tomorrow. Mentally, I feel fantastic. Opting for this surgery was the greatest decision I’ve ever made, and just picturing the outcome is fueling me with immense motivation.00 -

Hey Brother, the pain medications may lead to severe constipation, causing dry and pebbly stool. Using a liquid or oil-based laxative such as cod liver oil or Laculose can provide relief. However, there are instances where it might feel like you are trying to pass a baseball. In such cases, using rubber gloves and your fingers can be beneficial.00 -

Had a period of severe constipation last year. I experienced impacted stool that I had to remove by myself. I still recall that dreadful sensation. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen again. However, I am also afraid of using laxatives and having excessive bowel movements, as my legs might not be able to reach the toilet in their current condition lol.
I also suffer from a chaotic sleep pattern ever since arriving in Turkey. I have only been sleeping sporadically. I just awoke from a 2-hour nap and feel tightness in my limbs. Thankfully, there is no pain, although my ankles are tender from rubbing against the bedsheets.00 -

157cm to 177cm is certainly a request for limb lengthening, although I prefer Ebola or HIV over being short, I do not consider it seriously.00 -

I am being discharged from the hospital today. My mobility is limited, requiring assistance for movement, with more of a mental struggle than a physical one since there is no pain. Haven’t had a bowel movement in three days, so that needs to be addressed. The removal of my catheter yesterday was by far the most horrible sensation I’ve ever felt. Peeing now causes intense stinging; hopefully, this improves on its own. The swelling is reducing, which hopefully indicates a recovery in my range of motion.00 -

The manager appears to be quite agile even after the 20cm increase. I wouldn’t have been able to tell that he had undergone such a procedure just by looking at his mobility.00
