I have been active on this forum for quite some time. From what I have observed, individuals typically share their height ranging from 158cm/5’2″ to 178cm/5’10”. Undergoing limb lengthening at 5’10″/178cm or taller may not provide significant advantages in life, except perhaps in the US where height discrimination is more prevalent. In countries like Denmark, where people often state their height including shoes, going from 5’10″/178cm to around 6’0″/182cm is common. The ideal height range for most benefits seems to be between 167cm/5’6″ and 175cm/5’9″ as it transitions from short to average. Wearing elevated shoes outdoors can further enhance height perception. By being around 5’11″/180cm with shoes, most women would not have issues with your height, except for those with especially shallow preferences favoring significantly taller men. For individuals starting at 158cm/5’2″, even after undergoing femur lengthening procedures that slightly exceed safety limits, reaching 5’5″/165cm can reduce extreme shortness. While some women may still show interest at this height, there remains a disadvantage in terms of stature; although at 158cm, the dating pool becomes significantly limited, making the procedure potentially worthwhile for those extremely short.00 -

I see I’m 167 cm on a good day and I get treated poorly a lot of the times by taller guys at college who get all the female attention too. I can’t imagine myself living at this height I’d honestly rather take my life than stay at this height.00 -

Hi @ MezoIt appears that you are currently facing a challenging time.
The college years represent a significant transitional period, and they may seem easier for some individuals than others.
Improving one’s self-esteem and focusing on oneself rather than others can notably enhance one’s perspective.
While height does have an impact, it is not the only determining factor. Many people lead fulfilling lives regardless of their height, disabilities, or socio-economic status.
If you believe that your height is the primary cause of your unhappiness, it is comforting to know that there is a solution available. Although immediate surgery may not be possible given your current situation, you now have a clear goal to work towards.
Consider confiding in a trusted individual about your struggles. The aftermath of suicide will have a lasting impact on them more than you realize.
Taking a break from the forum could be beneficial as it might reinforce negative perceptions in an echo chamber.
Best of luck

Truthfully set aside 20-30k and undergo limb lengthening surgery. Avoid spending your best years trying to accumulate a large sum of money for an internal nail and a doctor from the western countries; you should act promptly, if not immediately.Russia and Vietnam offer possibilities, along with a couple of other potential locations.

In general, my suggestion is to opt for an internal method if you have a good income as the benefits outweigh the additional costs. However, in a scenario where this isn’t feasible, and you are considering limb lengthening due to height-related suicidal tendencies, I would recommend LON, perhaps femur (approximately 8 cm increase), for the most significant outcome for your investment. Nonetheless, undergoing LON on tibias, which is a bit safer (around 5 cm gain), might be a better choice since it typically results in a satisfactory outcome with minimal severe complications, particularly if you choose reputable clinics, even though there is still a higher risk compared to an internal method. Personally, I can endorse AFA in Turkey. Based on my investigations, opting for Vietnam or India for limb lengthening is not advisable due to numerous negative outcomes. While Parihar is a reputable surgeon in India, I am uncertain if he continues to offer LON. Turkey, too, has a number of substandard clinics, but one that receives positive feedback is AFA, with encouraging testimonials and an absence of negative reviews. Moreover, they meticulously attend to the pin sites every other day to significantly reduce infections commonly associated with LON procedures, a practice not consistently followed by all clinics. The total expenses, covering accommodation, meals, lodging, x-rays, psychotherapy, all consolidated in one facility, would amount to approximately $40,000, which, in my view, represents good value for money. steer clear of WannaBeTaller and LiveLifeTaller in Turkey as they have a history of poor outcomes and negative experiences, as supported by various testimonials on this platform. For firsthand information, simply navigate to the “Limb Lengthening Patients Experiences” section on the main page and peruse recent negative accounts regarding these establishments.00 -

You support physicians without conducting any fundamental research… When you mention that you conducted research on AFA, what did this investigation entail? Similar to how you asserted that giotikas has “decades of experience with ll,” which is entirely inaccurate (a simple review of his CV contradicts your assertion). Cease speaking from a position of ignorance.
By the way, I am not implying that giotikas is an unfavorable option and nor is AFA; I am simply highlighting that you continuously advise individuals on this platform without any basis other than your personal convictions and opinions00
