Here’s the reply from the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Center for Restorative Traumatology and OrthopaedicsCurrently, height increase is achievable at our Center if the patient meets the criteria specified in Protocol No1 dated July 22, 2014.
1. Initial height below 165 cm for males (160 cm for females).
2. Disproportionate lower limb segments (assessed by doctors at the Center).
3. Disproportion between body and limbs (assessed by doctors at the Center).
4. There is also an age limit, from 22 to 41 years, due to the increased risk of osteoporosis, vascular complications, and delayed consolidation.
5. Candidates for height increase must be in good health and are required to provide a health report, detailing their complete previous medical history, signed by their general practitioner. If you meet the above criteria, height increase is feasible at our Center.
The duration of inpatient treatment varies based on many factors, such as age, amount of lengthening, the patient’s diligence in adhering to the doctor’s directives, etc.
However, remaining in the hospital for the entire treatment period is not compulsory. Patients may be discharged for outpatient treatment during the fixation period (consolidation of the achieved result). In such cases, the hospital stay duration is shortened (and, of course, the cost is impacted). Typically, our height increase patients are hospitalized during the distraction phase; then they leave the hospital for outpatient treatment with fixators attached; and subsequently, it is necessary to return to the hospital for a few days for the removal of the fixators.
Physical activity, physical exercise therapy, and mobility with crutches or walking sticks commence from the second day post-surgery.
Throughout the entire treatment, our patients maintain an active lifestyle, nearly without restrictions. Our patients begin walking without any support aids within 1.5-2 months after the external fixators are removed. The cost of our treatment is fairly reasonable. It comprises the preoperative examination fee, surgery cost (which varies based on the complexity of the surgery), fixator cost (depending on the operated segment and the number of components), accommodation costs (which depend on room type), treatment duration, and mandatory assistance package.
The costs are as follows: <

if my calculations are accurate this is quite affordable!!!
Can you break down the expense for a full 3 month stay? the total cost is unclear to me. I arrive at an amount of approximately US$12K.
What is meant by 1 level limb lengthening and 2 level limb lengthening?
I would like to know the cost of internals if they are offered.
Here’s the reply
1. The ballpark figure is 12500 USD (which includes 3 months in a shared room and 2 tibial procedures). If the number of operations rises or the length of stay extends – the costs will rise correspondingly. The currency conversion rate also affects the price, as the price listing is in roubles.
2. 1 incision of the tibia or 2 incisions.
3. For the purpose of cosmetic height increase, internal methods are not utilized.

Allow me to verify the height restrictions once again. I am 170 and I absolutely believe these individuals informed me that I would be fine.00 -

Do you all believe there is any chance of having surgery here for individuals taller than 165 CM? What about if, for instance, a guy who is 173 wanted to undergo it? Dr. Parley has indicated repeatedly that height neurosis can affect individuals of any stature. This height limitation seems rather unnecessary and bothersome to me. Additionally, the stipulation for “disproportion” appears quite unnecessary too. Sweden was proportionate prior to his limb lengthening, and he seems perfectly fine following his 7 CM increase.00
