I am a 5’1″ female, and I am currently considering limb lengthening. If I go for it, I would like to do both Femur and Tibia to gain around 5″ of height. I wonder if other women have undergone the procedure, who their doctor was, the cost, and how the process/healing has been. I was thinking of contacting LiveLifeTaller but I am a bit apprehensive after reading this forum. Women who have completed this procedure, how has life changed for you? Was this experience worth it in the end?00

I am not a woman, but I came across a post from someone who is:And, indeed, if financially possible, steer clear of limb lengthening (LLT) and Wanna Be Taller.

There is a woman who underwent limb lengthening with Dr. Assayag in April of 2021. She has a diary on here. Only do this in the US or Europe!00 -

1) Stay away from Turkey. Your safety may be at risk. It’s not worth taking the chance.2) The procedure for a female will mirror that of a male. While there are slight variations, such as your Q-angle differing from that of a male, this detail is negligible and will not affect your final result. Seek out a trustworthy surgeon.
3) There are no concrete or objective advantages for women undergoing limb lengthening. Any potential benefits would be primarily psychological or personal. If you believe the investment of time, money, and pain is justified, then proceed. Keep in mind that the overwhelmingly positive experiences shared in patient testimonials, mostly from men, are unlikely to be replicated in your case. I’m not advising against it, as I cannot prevent you, but simply cautioning you.

Obviously, there are some reasonable limits to this, but generally speaking, shorter women do not suffer because of their height, romantically speaking. If you want to have a chance with a 6’0 guy, then adding a few inches might be beneficial; however, be aware that for men, your height has a tertiary priority. On the contrary, it makes you “lose access” to certain groups of men, especially when you hit the 5’7 territory. I don’t care what the statistics say; I believe that the average height for guys nowadays is about 5’9 in the western world, and being close to this height will make you less desirable to a guy with an average height. It’s up to you, but I’d say losing a year for that most definitely won’t be worth it.00 -

I do not agree with this statement. There are valid professional reasons why a woman may desire to increase her height. A woman who is 5′ 10″ probably faces fewer challenges in corporate environments compared to a woman who is 5′ 0″. Height can impact various aspects beyond dating.00 -

About 20% of patients undergoing limb lengthening for cosmetic reasons are females. Despite this, it appears that fewer than 1% of forum members are women, largely due to certain male posters who consistently make disturbing and derogatory remarks about their height issues. These comments have been so extreme that some individuals have even contemplated suicide in the past, equating their short stature to conditions like leukemia or ebola. The absence of female participation in this forum may be attributed to such behavior, leading to the characterization of these male posters as incels.00
