Hello, I am Asian. Specifically, I am Korean. I wish to undergo femur lengthening. Yet, I worry it might look proportionally odd. I consulted a renowned doctor in Korea, named Donghunlee. He advised that it was permissible to lengthen the femur and also increase the tibia. However, I still have my reservations. Certainly, I desire to lengthen the femur since its benefits for athletic performance and quick recovery appear favorable. Yet, aesthetically, I understand that lengthening the tibia is preferable.
Based on the latest technology, eos, my tibia measures 33cm while my thigh measures 42cm.
The eos is slightly below standard X-rays, but the measurements are precise. Only the actual length of the bone is being assessed. My height is between 167 and 168. However, the eos indicates my height as 166.
I am interested in your viewpoint. Would you mind if I opted for five centimeters of femur lengthening?
Please provide an honest response. I plan to upload my picture for a more definite answer.

Honestly, 5cm on the femur is quite acceptable in terms of proportion.

I undergo femur surgery for 8cm and my height was 175cm.

Considering your height, 5cm on the femur won’t appear strange. Additionally, 5cm on the femur isn’t truly « 5cm » in practical terms, unlike the tibia. Therefore, if you get 5cm on your femur, in reality, it will be a little less than that.

Anyeonghaseyo. I am GHkid imnida. I’m American but not Korean. Balli balli fast fast. Park Seo Joon imnida. Itaewon Class is a horrible drama.

Jokes aside, no, I don’t mind at all. Your life, your choice. Koreans prefer tibia more, but that raises the risk of arthritis more than if you did femurs. So femurs are better for health.

Indeed, extending the Femurs is acceptable, as your tibia is of standard length.

is it of standard length? I believe it seems too short.
